The greatest predator

They live almost a hundred years. It is a fact that they appeared in this planet 56 million years ago. For some old egyptian village, this animal was a god. The Tifon god. So, i would like to talk to you about the gratest reptil of all times: The crocodile.

I want to clarify that I have never seen one in a jungle or a river. Only in zoos. But I’m looking forward to seeing them in their own environment. I really love the fact that they can swim really fast and also walk, and even run. In the water, their long tail is a sort of engine that pushes them into the river or lake. But, on earth, they can also run using their four short legs.

They appeared for first time on planet earth like 56 million years ago, and the reason that they survive so long, it´s because they have an amazing adaptation ability. An average Crocodile can live almost a hundred years.

They live in the tropic regions of Africa, Asia, South America and Australia. Especially in places with water like rivers and lakes. They eat fishes, reptiles and mammals and sometimes little mollusks. But how do they grave their meal?

They have their eyes on both top sides of their heads. So, as they are in the water, they only show their eyes and silently they approach to the prey. So, when they open their big mouth, they grab it taking it into the water.

Crocodile is a big beautiful creature. It´s one of the oldest here on earth, and definitely the most big reptile. And even being that big, they can run, walk and swim really really well. Amazing!
