Trust me, you will be a better person

Maybe you have not heard this name, maybe it is not an obligated term, I mean, it is a not a general formation term. But definitely it is the one that make me learn and ask so many things to myself. This subject is “Racismo Discursivo”.

First of all I have to talk about the teacher. Miss Claudia Villagran is a wise woman. She really knows everything about this subject. She really knows how to connect the theory with a simple example in daily life.

“Racismo Discursivo” talks about the different types of discrimination that we can find in the mass media and even in the education system. For example, last lesson we talk about the colonialism. Yeah, we talk about the system that European people brought five hundred years ago.

We still think that the European things are the main things. For example we think that all the knowledge come from this part of the world. Many people think that if you want to go to Europe you have to travel up. Why? If earth it is like a ball. It has a round form. There is no up or down, we have to talk about north and south.

These simple facts I learned in this term. So if you are wondering what subject you can try, maybe you should pick “Racismo Discursivo”, I am sure that you will be a better person after one class.
